The Ambassador-Designate of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Kingdom of Eswatini, with residence in Maputo, Mozambique, H.E. CP. Hamad Khamis Hamad, on 6 August 2026, presented Copies of his Letters of Credence to Hon.Pholile Dlamini Shakantu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Eswatini, in Mbabane.



Following the presentation, Ambassador Hamad reaffirmed the commitment of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania to further strengthening the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation between Tanzania and the Kingdom of Eswatini. He underscored his determination to work closely with the Government of Eswatini to deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, tourism, education, culture, agriculture, and human capital development.



For her part, Hon. Pholile Dlamini Shakantu officially welcomed Ambassador Hamad to the Kingdom of Eswatini and congratulated him on his appointment by H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania. She assured him of the Government of Eswatini's full support in facilitating the successful discharge of his diplomatic responsibilities.



The Minister further emphasized the importance of strengthening and broadening bilateral cooperation between the two sister nations, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, tourism, education, culture, and human resource development, reaffirming Eswatini's readiness to work closely with Tanzania in advancing their shared development aspirations and the prosperity of their peoples.



The presentation of the Copies of Letters of Credence marks an important diplomatic milestone, formally enabling Ambassador Hamad to commence his official duties in the Kingdom of Eswatini pending the presentation of his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Mswati III.
